Mahindra XUV400 EV to come in three variants
Ahead of the Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV's launch in January, details have emerged of the variants it will be offered in. The XUV400 is expected to reach dealerships by December.

The Mahindra XUV400 will get three variants - Base, EP and EL. The feature set for each isn't known yet but the XUV400 gets equipment like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto/Apple Carplay, a single-pane sunroof, drive modes, OTA updates, keyless entry, powered mirrors and climate control. Safety features include six airbags, disc brakes all around, ESC and ISOFIX child-seat mounts.
Mahindra XUV400 EV battery, range, specifications
The Mahinda XUV400 is powered by a 39.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The battery is IP67-rated for water and dust protection. The ARAI-rated range figure is 456 km. As for charging the XUV400, the SUV can accept up to 50 kW of DC fast charging which will fill the battery up to 80 per cent in 30 minutes. A 7.2 kW AC charger will top the battery up in 6.5 hours via a regular three-pin socket will do it in 13 hours.
The electric SUV's 150PS and 310 Nm give it a 0 to 100 kmph time of 8.3s and a 150 kmph top speed.
Mahindra XUV400 EV expected price, launch date, rivals
The Mahindra XUV400 should be priced between Rs 19 to Rs 21 lakh, ex-showroom when it launches in January. The Mahindra will compete with the Tata Nexon EV Max.
