2023 Triumph Street Triple R, Street Triple RS India launch on 15 Mar

British bike maker Triumph Motorcycles Ltd has set the stage to launch the new 2023 Street Triple 765 R and Street Triple 765 RS in India on 15 March, 2023. The firm made this announcement on its official social media handles. For the 2023 model year, the pair features several cosmetic updates, a handful of additional features, and increased power outputs.

The 2023 Street Triple R and Street Triple RS do not pack a raft of changes but get just a few styling changes. To start with, Triumph has made the Street Triple sportier and more aggressive than its predecessor, thanks to the addition of a new fly screen, a new, smaller, and sculpted fuel tank, raised tail section and reshaped fuel tank extensions. However, the duo retains their signature bug-eye-shaped headlights.

Furthermore, the R and RS are equipped with a new 12mm wider handlebar. Meanwhile, both motorcycles have seat heights of 836mm and 826mm, respectively. The 2023 Street Triple R and Street Triple RS come with new colour schemes. In some western markets, the R is available with Silver Ice and Crystal White, while the RS is available in three paint options: Silver Ice, Carnival Red, and Cosmic Yellow. The India-bound models are also likely to carry the same colours.

2023 Triumph Street Triple 765 R and Street Triple 765 RS: Engine

The most significant update has been made to the 765cc, inline-three, liquid-cooled DOHC engine. With this, the Street Triple 765 R now produces 120PS at 11,500rpm and 80Nm of torque at 9,500rpm. On the other hand, the Street Triple RS generates 130PS at 12,000rpm and 80Nm of torque at 9,500rpm. Moreover, Triumph has given the pair a new free-flowing exhaust. It has also reworked the gear ratios and final drive assembly to enhance performance.

2023 Triumph Street Triple 765 R and Street Triple 765 RS: Features

The Street Triple R and Street Triple RS now feature traction control and cornering ABS as standard. The settings of these systems also can be changed upon requirement. Other features include a five-inch TFT console (RS-only), bi-direction quick shifter, Showa forks and monoshock, Ohlins monoshock (RS-only), Brembo M4.32 310mm dual brake callipers and 220mm single disc (R-specific), 310mm twin Brembo Stylema brake callipers with a single 220mm disc at the rear (RS-only), and 17-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels at both ends.

Meanwhile, the R gets four riding modes: Road, Rain, Sport, and RIder, while the RS gets five riding modes: Rain, Road, Sport, Track, and Rider.

2023 Triumph Street Triple 765 R and Street Triple 765 RS: Prices

While the on-sale Street Triple R and Street Triple RS cost Rs 9.15 lakh and Rs 11.35 lakh (ex-showroom), the upcoming models are expected to come with a sticker price of about Rs 9.50 lakh and Rs 11.65 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch, the 2023 Street Triple R and Street Triple RS will compete against the Ducati Monster, Kawasaki Z900, and BMW F 900 R.
